New Library Access Policy

The Villanova Law Library is open to law students, faculty and staff whenever they have wildcard access to the law school building. The Law Library is also open to alumni, the university community, attorneys, and the general public during the semester, until the finals period starts, Monday – Thursday from 8 AM to 7 PM and Friday 8 AM to 5 PM.

We will be asking all library visitors for ID. If you don't have a Wildcard that says "Law Student" on it, you will have to sign in.

We will be asking all library visitors for ID. If you don’t have a Wildcard that says “Law Student” on it, you will have to sign in.

To better monitor who is using the library, a new access policy will go into effect on Tuesday, October 13th.  Under the new policy everyone entering the law library will be asked to show ID. Please bring your wildcard and show it at the Circulation/Reserve Desk as you enter the law library. Anyone who does not have a Villanova Law ID will be “checked in” by a library worker. We ask for your cooperation and patience as we implement this new access policy.

What do you need to do to access the Law Library?

  • If you are a Villanova Law student …  show your Villanova Law Student wildcard
  • Villanova University general community … show your wildcard
  • Villanova Law alumni … show a current driver’s license or photo ID
  • Attorney or private researcher … show a current driver’s license or photo ID

Please direct any questions or comments to Associate Dean Vicenç Feliú at feliu@law.villanova.edu.
